ANNUAL EVENTS

Markdale Cruise Night
Hosted by the Markdale Chamber of Commerce, this annual classic car show is held on a Friday evening in June or July.  Over 150 classic cars shut down Main Street to participate in this event.  Prizes are awarded and registration is free!

Stoney Hollow Lavender Farm Tours
During the end of July, Stoney Hollow opens their gardens to the public for their Annual Lavender tours.  These annual tours showcases their lavender grown without herbicides or pesticides, that is harvested, bunched, dried, striped, and sifted entirely by hand.  Come and experience the sweet and alluring scent of lavender while you partake in the self-guided tour of the gardens.  After your tour refresh yourself with some Lavender Iced Green Tea or lavender cookies, meander through the Secret Garden, and pick your own lavender bunch if you are so inclined.  Potted lavender plants, as well as all of Stoney Hollow’s quality lavender products are all available for purchase.
Rotary Club Street Frolic
Come experience children’s games, games of chance, appetizing food, live music, and dynamic dancing, when the Rotary Club of Markdale closes off Main Street for their Annual Street Frolic tradition. The longstanding tradition of Street Frolic occurs every July, so be sure not to miss it!
Markdale Fall Fair
Stop by for a weekend of fun during the Markdale Fall Fair, held annually in August, at the King Edward Park and Arena Complex
Opening ceremonies happen Friday night in the arena. During that evening, the Fall Fair Ambassador Competition and live music will take place. Saturday events include the baby show, chili cook-off, cow, horse and goat shows, a quilt draw and much, much more for the whole family to enjoy.
Mountain Top Jamboree
Presented by The Rotary Club of Markdale, the annual Mountain Top Jamboree supports both local and international projects. This weekend long event in August, is host to several live performances, and offers camping facilities to accommodate more than 200 RV Units. A licensed bar is offered, and refreshments and food are available for purchase.
Moonlight Madness & Santa Claus Parade
This weekend long event takes place every November and is hosted by the Markdale Chamber of Commerce.  Santa and his elves stop off in Markdale, the Friday evening before the parade, to enjoy moonlight madness; when downtown stores are open late and offer discounts, giveaways, and a pajama party!  Saturday afternoon has Santa participating in the annual Santa Clause parade alongside local business and community group floats.  Following the parade, Santa will be at the library to meet and greet with Children.
