CAVE EXPLORATION

Because of the Niagara Escarpment rock that makes up the Blue Mountains, caves and crevices exist throughout the region. Here is a list of the most popular caves near Creemore used for exploration.

BRUCE CAVES Explores caves that were formed by the wave action of post-glacial Lake Algonquin, 7,000 to 8,000 years ago.
DUNCAN ESCARPMENT Explores the west side of the Niagara Escarpment leading into the Beaver Valley and the Duncan Crevice Caves Nature Reserve.
SCENIC CAVES A labyrinth of caves and crevices.  In order to access the caves you must pay an entrance fee.
